CAF SIGNALLING CERTIFIES ITS OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (SMS)

CAF Signalling certifies its Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMS) in compliance with the CENELEC EN50126 Standard and European Regulation number 402/2013 on Common Safety Methods for risk evaluation.

This certification is accounted for under “Plan S to foster railway safety” promoted by the Railway Safety Directorate at the CAF Group, which will lead to other companies in the group certifying their own SMS.

This is the result undertaken over the last years, focused on a Safety Process Team, which has signified the formalisation of safety management in all spheres in which the company operates, creating or improving upon processes, procedures, guidelines and technical instructions. Over this period, different auditing process have been successfully completed, both on an internal level, as well as those carried out the certifying body (SNC-Lavalin, accredited as NoBo in the United Kingdom), up to the conclusion with the final certification of the system as a whole.

With this certification, CAF Signalling takes a further stride forward in its safety management, providing extra confidence on the part of current and future clients, without overlooking the fact that it is essential to apply suitable processes in the implementation of projects, in order to ensure the validity of the Management System and its certification.
