Areas of activity
From CAF Signalling we provide railway signalling integrated solutions that cover both the fields of infrastructures and on-board material. Since January 2013 we are full member of UNISIG.
With a clear customer focus we rely on our own proprietary technology and a high degree of qualification in engineering and management of “turnkey” projects in signalling, including testing and commissioning, as well as maintenance of facilities.
Backed by the wide knowledge of CAF Group in the railway business as a whole, we at CAF Signalling provide solutions in complex project as well as in any others that may involve interfaces towards rolling stock and other fields such as electrification and power, communications and civil works.
Amongst our technologies worth noting are:
1- Our family of AURIGA systems, covering both ERTMS infrastructure and on-board Level 1 and Level 2 systems as well as ATO running on the ETCS.
2- Our base of QUASAR S4e interlockings.
3- Our platform of NAOS integrated control posts, which includes control posts for railway, tramway and subway traffic as well as remote controls for other systems such as power, detectors… from the traffic control and power remote control to detectors’ control.
We provide conventional signalling integrated solutions based on our range of QUASAR S3e interlocking systems and the NAOS platform of integrated control posts, which answer to the requirements of this kind of operation with high availability, reliability and safety rates.
Additionally, this range can be supplemented by our ATP (Automatic Train Protection) solution based on the AURIGA platform, both in the field of infrastructures (L1EM, LEU, RBC) as in ERMTS of rolling stock for Level 1 and Level 2.
We at CAF Signalling have both experience and capability for integrating third-party ATP solutions such as the Spanish ASFA system or any other domestic system.
We provide integrated ETCS (European Train Control System) rail signalling solutions based on our AURIGA platform, both in the field of infrastructures (L1EM, LEU, RBC) as in rolling stock for Level 1 and Level 2.
The ATP (Automatic Train Protection) solution is supplemented by our range of QUASAR S3e interlocking systems and the NAOS platform of integrated control posts, which answer to the requirements of this kind of operation with high availability, reliability and safety rates.
Thanks to our continued work we have developed a safety detectors hub system (CDS) for operation of High-Speed lines. Amongst a series of detectors, this system controls the side wind detection and prediction system, which is also provided by CAF Signalling with its own proprietary technology for High-Speed Lines.
Trams, light trains and suburban trains
We provide integrated signalling solutions for tramways and light subway systems based on our QUASAR S3e range of interlockings and on the NAOS platform for integrated control posts together with our strong capabilities in engineering and integration of third-party subsystems.
We rely on many years of experience in the execution of integrated projects, including electrification of complex tramway systems such as the Antalya project in Turkey.
Subway and high-density transport
We at CAF Signalling provide signalling solutions in subway lines, depots and yards based on our QUASAR S3e interlockings platform, thus providing operations with high availability, reliability and safety rates.
Within our portfolio of solutions we also provide solutions regarding integrated control posts, including control posts for traffic as well as remote controls for other systems such as power, for the subway trains and mass transport segments, based on our NAOS integrated control posts platform.
We provide integrated signalling solutions for Cargo Lines based on our range of QUASAR 3e interlocking systems and on the NAOS platform for integrated control posts, along with our strong capabilities in engineering and integration of third-party subsystems in order to answer to the particular requirements of each of our clients in a customized fashion.
For cargo lines, we can provide ATP solutions based on client requirements, whenever there is a need for increased capacity, based on the AURIGA product range.
