CAF Signalling will install the signalling on the Çerkezköy-Kapikule section

CAF SIGNALLING HAS BEEN SELECTED BY JV SALINI KOLIN AND WILL DEVELOP A NEW PROJECT IN TURKEY WITH A CONTRACT WORTH MORE THAN 15 MILLION EUROS.

The contract, worth more than 15 million Euro, includes works on 153 km of the high-speed line. As a result of the works, the Istanbul metropolitan area will be connected to the Bulgarian border, and the current single track will be replaced by double track, on a line designed for maximum speeds of 200 km/h.

The line will belong to the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), which comprises the priority networks for the transport of people and goods, and is part of the East/East-Mediterranean Corridor. This Corridor connects Central Europe with the ports of the North, Baltic, Black and Mediterranean Seas. It will therefore set a milestone for rail connectivity between Turkey and EU countries.

CAF Signalling will install its latest electronic interlocking technology, a new CTC and the latest ERTMS level 1 compatible signalling systems.
